The beginning of something big.
I want to share the following post with you, which was posted one and a half years ago...It shares the biggest part of our story so far ~ our will to see this through!
Nothing lasting or meaningful happens overnight. Success always is the result of long, hard, determined work. It comes from incredible persistence and belief, and starts with a dream. green2go has been in the works for nearly three years now. And just last week we were given the green light to proceed to the next step of finding a location so that we can finally break ground! We have been blessed by an angel in the most surprising form!
Aristotle, over two thousand years ago explained: We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
There is an art to success. The skill lies in the approach, and this must come from a sure and positive place. At the very beginning of our green2go story, we were told by a wise and experienced man that what we were trying to do was much like climbing Mount Everest. We absolutely agreed, as we never underestimated the steep, uphill path we were forging.
I just read an article titled: Six Keys to Excellence. In the intro I read that perhaps talent is the result of how hard we are willing to work. And in this regard, "If you want to be really good at something, it's going to involve relentlessly pushing past your comfort zone, along with frustration, struggle, setbacks and failures."
My friend and I were just talking about how life seems to lead us through peaks and valleys. It is the valleys or 'the Dip' that interests me. We realized that the dips do not need to be so pronounced ~ it is all how you look at it, your attitude and your approach. If you have a goal, something you can believe passionately in, then those dips are actually part of the uphill climb. Each time you hang in there with determination and persistence, believing in the peak ahead, when you finally make it to that point, you will live life on that higher plain from there on...And the next uphill struggle will take you to an even higher plain. There need not be valleys in between. The key to living like this is in knowing what you truly want, and how you find this is only by showing up everyday and paying attention to what is right in front of your nose while feeling grateful.
