The Power of Vulnerability
Here is an excellent, worthwhile video for you from a TED conference (we love TED) ~ truly 'ideas worth spreading'.
Brene Brown speaks on why some people live feeling worthy of love and belonging, about the courage it takes to be imperfect, and about fully embracing vulnerability.
She explains, we are the most indebted, obese, addicted and medicated adult population in U.S. history, and a lot of this is the result of living in fear of shame, being turned down, disappointed, of being vulnerable...the over-spending, over-eating, over-medicating serves to numb us to life's harsh realities.
Rather than live with the fear of failure, it is the willingness to "say I love you first", to invest where there is no guarantee, to be the first to step up ~ that enables people to live with true gratitude, joy and love.
Check it out...great food for thought and food to nourish the way we live each day.
