Foods That Make Us Thin.
Another good reason to consciously eat less meat ~
The reason a diet of mostly veggies and fruit makes us thin is because the percentage of calories that are derived from fat are extremely low in these foods. For example, 100% of calories in butter are derived from fat compared with 5% in peas, 4% in carrots and 3.5% in green beans.
Studies show that the amount of dietary fat we consume not only is directly attributed to how much body fat we carry, it is closely associated with the incidence of breast cancer, large bowel cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
Dietary fat is a prime (almost exact) indicator of how much animal-based foods are in your diet. With only a few exceptions, animal-based foods contain considerably more fat than plant-based foods.
SO, if you are focused on being thin, turn your diet upside-down ~ have veggies as your main meal and meats as a side portion or not at all. Are there any specific veggies or fruits you would like us to showcase? Please let us know.
