National Watermelon Month...Recipe by Joulia
As a child, July marked the middle of the summer vacation. Sure, June was the beginning, but in June you were still shaking off the doldrums of the school year and getting into your summer groove. And then in
August you spent the entire month sadly counting down the days until the new school year started.
But July…that month was nothing but fun, sun and good times.
Finally, for a lover of all things outdoor-related, July represents 31 days (a long month – there’s another perk) of some of the nicest weather on the calendar. Can’t argue with that, especially when you’ve got some ice cold watermelon waiting in the fridge at home!
