Fighting depression naturally
The path of least resistance is often too irresistible and often leads us away from personal growth, happiness and true health and well-being. Nothing truly good ever comes easy. The key to living the best life we can is to make the path of least resistance one that contains positive, healthy, good options.
Make a conscious effort to set yourself up for making good habits...like always having fresh fruit on the counter, or on your desk...setting a pair a sneakers out by the TV. Many people fall into bad lifestyle habits, particularly with eating and exercising; not only does this have a negative effect on the body but it has an equally bad effect on our brains.
About 10 to 15 percent of Americans experience minor depression and about 21 percent of women will have at least one bout of major depression due to a combination of genes and life's circumstances. A big reason for depression is our diet of too many processed foods, which is known to cause bad moods, a general lack of energy, discomfort and stress.
Talk to anyone who eats a raw food diet and they will tell you that they feel like they live the best day ever, every day. Eating mainly fruits and veggies, foods closest to their natural state, is known to result in feelings of vitality and significant well-being.
Check this video out, it is a girl being interviewed about her diet. I like the way she explains herself.
