About the whole shebang...Health & happiness go hand in hand.
I wrote earlier about why we are advised to eat well (first) and exercise (second). Do you know anyone who exercises in order to counter balance their unhealthy taste for fatty, fried, processed, fleshy foods? Do they ever feel, act or look really healthy (mentally calm, sharp and physically flexible and strong)?
People wonder if it is exercise or diet that works best for getting into 'shape'. The fact is that they are interconnected and what is most important is how it all works together to raise or ruin health.
It is the whole shebang. Eat well...feel well... have lots of energy to exercise and feel great. Feeling great is also about self-esteem and your complete outlook on life. Health and happiness go hand in hand. As you become healthier, your outlook and attitude naturally become more positive and balanced.
Living truly healthy is about making a lifestyle commitment, which starts with what you feed your body. It is not about a diet with a special name or regime. Understand that we are completely what we eat. The process of eating is when what we eat becomes part of our body. Remember this next time you think about poking your fork into fatty, fried or refined and processed food.
Eating a diet of mainly fruits and vegetables is the healthiest and easiest way to eat. It is also healthiest for our future in general. By eating this way, we use less water and land and help produce less pollution and suffering. Check out The Food Revolution by John Robbins. Mr Robbins is considered to be one of "the most eloquent and powerful spokespersons in the world for a sane, ethical and sustainable future."
Make smart, good choices for yourself, every time you eat...it will have far reaching, positive effects.
