6 Revolting Breakfasts That Just Might Kill You Before Lunch
An article written by Brad Reed last month started with this question: A good breakfast is essential to starting your day out right. But what happens when it ends your day instead, by killing you within minutes of eating it?
Here is Brad's list of the deadliest breakfasts and the reasons why these meals are so revolting ~
6th most revolting: Reese's Puffs Cereal laced with 41% sugar, 16gms in each cup (more than a typical glazed donut!)
5th most revolting: Jimmy Dean Pancake and Sausage on a Stick 230 calories per stick with 340mgs of salt each!
4th most revolting: The BurgerKing Breakfast Bowl a whopping helping of cholesterol, carbs and processed dairy fat!!
3rd most revolting: IHOP Colorado Omlette 800 nasty calories with 105% of your daily allowance of fat (68 gms!), 980 mgs of salt (41% RDA) and 805 mgs of cholesterol (2.5x the RDA!!!)
2nd most revolting: Bob Evans Stacked and Stuffed Hot Cakes with Cinnamon Cream 1400 calories (not counting the syrup, processed meats that probably go with it and the sweetened drink!!!)
The most revolting: Hardees Monster Biscuit following in the footsteps of their revolting 1400 calories with 107 gms of fat Monster Thickburger....the Monster Biscuit is 790 calories and contains 88% of the recommended daily fat intake, 90% of the daily recommended saturated fat intake, 92% of the recommended cholesterol intake and 96% of the recommended salt intake! Nearly 100% of the amount if fats, cholesterol and salt a person should be eating in an entire day - in one breakfast biscuit!
Valuing good health, well being and a long, happy life means making healthy food choices. Understanding what is actually on your plate can make all the difference in the world.
